Navrotsky’s research relates atomic-level structure and bonding to macroscopic thermodynamic behavior and properties in complex materials. By advancing reaction calorimetry as a foundational research tool, she has contributed to a broad spectrum of applications from mineral thermodynamics to ceramic processing to nanomaterials to zeolites.
